West Bio-Chemical Services (Pty) Ltd services dated back to early 1980’s. West Bio-Chemical Services become an independent identity in 1997.
The vision of West Bio-Chemical Services (Pty) Ltd is to continuously offer exceptional laboratory results that are timeous and accurate that will contribute towards a better environment for our children by helping to manage water quality.
Our scope of Chemical and microbiological analysis includes water, wastewater, groundwater, borehole water, sewage effluents, mining and industrial effluents.
The laboratory carries out its testing activities in such a way as to meet the requirements of SANS ISO/IEC 17025 with a special emphasis on its internal quality control procedures.
Apart from water and wastewater quality monitoring, we also offer support and advisory service to our customers that include the following:
Affordable and reliable chemical and bacteriological Analyses on different types of water samples;
Establishment of monitoring programs;
Interpretation of results;
Graphic analysis on frequent samples for easier interpretation;
Support to solve problems;
Process evaluation with recommendation of rectifying problem areas;
Assist in determining design parameters for new and upgrading of wastewater treatment plants;
High level of Technical Back-up Service;
In-house training of Analysts;
Provide a one stop service by networking with accredited external labs;
Assist with the training of sampling procedures and providing 1 litre plastic bottles free of charge;
Providing sterilized, vacuum sealed glass micro sample bottles in cool bag by prior arrangement; and
Providing technically correct results that have been verified by our internal quality control procedures.
WEST BIO-CHEMICAL has obtained accreditation status with South African National Accreditation System, SANAS, in October 2009 as its activities are compliant with all the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 general requirements.
WEST BIO-CHEMICAL has a B-BBEE procurement recognition of 100%, i.e. a level 4 contributor.
West Bio-Chemical’s administration is situated between Pretoria and Bronkhorstspruit.

West Bio-Chemical is equipped to collect samples and perform the required chemical and microbiological analyses in their SANAS accredited laboratory in accordance with DWA-approved sampling methods and techniques. All samplers are trained in-house by a professional water and wastewater treatment engineer.
